Private Party Questions

What is the capacity of the Dance District Event Venue?

- For Standing Parties 120 guests, leaving enough room for up to 20 serving staff and/or tables and chairs.

- For Seated Parties 80 guests, leaving enough room for up to 20 serving staff and a dance floor

When I rent the studio for a period of time, can I have time to decorate?

All decoration and set-up time is included in the time of your rental, so that the time frame you have rented the space for is from the first person in to last person out. If you need more time you can rent additional hours at $200 per hour.

Can I cook in the Dance District Event Venue?

No, you cannot cook, bake or fry in the Dance District event venue. Only chafing dishes are allowed to keep food warm.

How far in advance do we have to book the event venue?

For popular times, like summer weekends, we recommend booking a year in advance, otherwise 3-6 months should suffice.

Can I serve my own alcohol during a party at Dance District?

Yes, however you are required to have an LCBO Special Occasion Permit.

Can I bring my own music to dance to during my private party at the event venue?

Yes, you can plug any sound device with an earphone jack into our system for background music, however for party music we require that you hire a DJ with his own equipment.

Can I buy additional time for my party if I decide to keep the party at the event venue going?

Yes, you can always buy additional venue time for $200 per hour.

Can I sell tickets to my event?

Only if you are not serving alcohol. If you are serving alcohol under a Special Occasion Permit then you may not sell tickets to your event.

If I want to get married at Dance District, what's the best way for me to go?

We suggest a Smart Wedding Package, which provides you with everything you need except for food and alcohol at a discounted price compare to providing everything yourself.

What is the capacity of the Dance District Event Venue

Wedding Ceremony Questions

How many people can the Dance District Event Venue host for a wedding ceremony?

Dance District can host up to 120 people for a wedding ceremony, however we only have 80 chairs to rent on site, so for all guests to be seated additional chairs would be required.

Can I serve my own alcohol during my wedding ceremony at Dance District?

Yes, however you are required to have an LCBO Special Occasion Permit. When serving alcohol you will also be required to have a licensed security guard on site for the duration of your permit.

Does Dance District have an altar available?

Two tables and an archway are provided as a part of our Wedding Ceremony Package, and you can use one table as an altar and the other as a signing table.

Can we put our pictures on your Digital Signage Display Screens?

Yes, you can have any images displayed which can be presented in Windows Media Player or in a slideshow.

Can we use the Dance District Event Venue Microphones For our Ceremony?

Yes, we have one wireless headset, one wireless hand-held and one wired microphone on site.

Can we have music playing on the Dance District Event Hall Sound System during our Ceremony?

Yes, you can play any music over our sound system during your special event. Any device with an earphone output can be connected to our sound system.

 


Meeting Room Questions

How many people can the Dance District Event Venue host for a meeting?

Dance District can host up to 120 people for a standing event or seated presentation, and up to 80 seated at tables.

Can I serve my own alcohol during my corporate meeting at Dance District?

Yes, however you are required to have an LCBO Special Occasion Permit.

Does Dance District have a projector and screen available?

Yes, we have a 102" projection screen and high power projector available to make your presentations look great.

Can we put our Corporate Logo on your Digital Signage Display Screens?

Yes, you can have any images displayed which can be presented in Windows Media Player.

Can we use the Dance District Event Venue Microphones For our Presentation?
